How to Choose the Best SEO Agency in Singapore

A short buyer's checklist for choosing an SEO agency in Singapore: the five questions that separate agencies who rank businesses from agencies who bill them.

The best SEO agency for you is the one that can show real rankings it produced, put the people doing the work in front of you, and prove the websites it builds actually load fast and convert. Five questions, asked before you sign, will tell you almost everything you need to know.

1. Ask to see real case studies — with numbers

Not testimonials, not logos, not "we work with big brands." Ask for specific keywords, the position before and after, and what the ranking produced for the business. An agency that has done the work will have the numbers ready; one that traffics in vague reassurance usually cannot. For reference, the kind of answer you want sounds like "we took this term from #19 to #2, and the client attributes over S$8 million in revenue to it" — you can see ours on the case studies page.

2. Ask who actually does the work

Some agencies win you with a senior pitch team and then hand the account to juniors or offshore it entirely. There is nothing wrong with a team — there is something wrong with not knowing who is on yours. Ask who writes your content, who makes the technical calls, and how much experience sits behind those decisions. It is a fair question, and the answer is revealing either way.

Ask an agency to rank you, then look at where the agency itself ranks. The site they built for themselves is the honest portfolio piece.

3. Ask to see a website they built — and test its speed

SEO and site quality are inseparable now. A page that loads slowly, shifts around as it renders, or hides its content from Google will struggle no matter how good the keyword strategy is. So ask for a site the agency built, open it on your phone, and see how it feels. If they treat the website and the SEO as two unrelated purchases, you may end up paying one party to optimise what another party built to fight it.

4. Ask whether they fix the website or just "do SEO"

This is the one most buyers miss. Much of what holds a site back is structural — how it is built, not what is written on it. Bolting an SEO retainer onto a website that was never designed to rank means paying every month to work around a problem instead of removing it. We take the opposite approach and build the website together with the SEO package, so structure, content, schema, and speed are right from the first line of code. Whether or not you choose us, ask any agency how they handle the build itself.

5. Ask what happens if you do not rank

Most agencies will not answer this one in writing — the retainer runs either way. We will: on our Growth and Dominate programmes, if you are not on page 1 within 90 days, we work for free until you are. Whoever you shortlist, ask them to put their version in writing, along with how they measure progress and when you should expect to see it. Vague answers here are the reddest flag on the list.

6. Ask what you actually own at the end

Content, and sometimes the website itself, can belong either to you or to the agency that made it — and it is worth settling before you start, not after a falling-out. If the relationship ends, do you keep the pages, the site, and the rankings they earned, or does the value walk out with the agency? The fair arrangement is simple: you own what you paid to build. This matters most for the website itself. A build you own outright is an asset on your books that keeps earning; a build you merely rent stops being yours the day the invoices do. Ask the question, and get the answer in writing.

A note on comparing agencies

You will read plenty of "top 10 SEO agencies" lists, most of them paid placements. Trust the checklist above over the ranking of a listicle. Bring the same five questions to every agency you meet, including us — comparable questions give you comparable answers, which is the whole point of shortlisting in the first place. When you are ready, you can talk to a Singapore SEO consultant here, or keep reading the journal for how we think about cost and timelines.
